PDX

A couple of weeks back I went on a little road trip(I always thought this was one word) up to Portland with an old college buddy to visit friends. It was colder than our standard 70 degree southern California weather and the leaves were beginning to change which was a welcome sight.
We were basically on the hunt for the best burger we could find in Portland. I had at least one everyday I was up there. Great idea. It seems that every place that serves burgers in Portland has one with cheese, bacon, and a fried egg. I am not going to lie...I was scared of the egg, but it was pretty amazing. So the best burger we decided was at Slow Bar.
It was probably also the tallest burger I ever had. Last thing on food...if you're ever in Portland do yourself a favor and go to Pine State Biscuits. Get the Reggie Delux...it's fried chicken, an egg, bacon, & cheese topped with gravy of course on a biscuit. Best thing I have eaten in a long long time.
Here are a couple of photos from the trip. At the current moment, Jonathan's on a road trip to Telluride, CO. Look back in a bit for the photos from his trip.

Peanut burger and deep fried mac & cheese. D-U-N...done.

Sweden

I was thinking back on some of the past weddings I have been able to photograph and one of my favorites was flying to Sweden to be part of Elin and Emanuel's wedding in a small country town.  I actually stayed in an old castle where the reception took place and had an amazing experience as my introduction into Swedish culture. Everyone treated me so well and Elin's and Emanuel's families were gracious and generous to me and opened up their homes for my stay. The experience is unforgettable and I wanted to post a few photos from their wedding.  JW
